We are a student-run organization located on the University of Arizona campus and representatives for the local VDAY chapter.
Since 2005, the Vagina Warriors have staged benefit productions ofThe Vagina Monologues, in addition to other plays and films, to raise awareness about the issues surrounding violence against women and girls in our local community and around the world.
All the money raised by the Vagina Warriors goes directly to causes dedicated to stopping violence against women and girls. Every year, 90% of the funds raised by The Vagina Monologues is given directly to the University of Arizona’s own OASIS Center for Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence. In the past five years, the additional 10% of those funds have been raised for Comfort Women of Japan, the Women of Iraq, Women in Afghanistan, Women of New Orleans and the Gulf South, and Women of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
